character information!

the basics
character name ; Annika Katharina Fleischer (pronounced Uh-nen-ka Kha-tre-na Fel-ei-sh-ch-er)
nickname(s) ; Ann (pronounced Uh-nen)
age ; 15
date of birth ; May 22, 1993
blood status; She says she is obviously Pureblood.
sexual orientation ; Straight
wand ; Basilisk Fang and Dragon Heart String mixture, Ebony wood, 9 3/4 inches. Flexible.
affiliation ; A Death Eater supporter, naturally.

the appearance
height & weight ; Annika is what most would call small but mighty. Annika is average height for a girl, but she has a small body frame. Annika is also rather thin, making her look fairly petite. by no means is she unhealthy or anorexic or anything; Annika does have some muscle. Annika by no means would allow herself to be that, and while small stands at five foot two and a half inches, weighing at one-hundred and fifteen pounds. Simply small, Annika is no more and no less.

hair ; Annika hair has always been long, at least past Annika shoulders and really, Annika refuses to cut it shorter claiming that "it's just not her" because it really isn't. Annika's skin is gently pale-tan and Annika shade of blonde helps. In some light's it looks more yellow blonde and in others it looks like a faded white, giving Annika the whole ghostly complexion. Annika let’s her straight hair grow neat and orderly, the minute it becomes choppy Annika will cut it. There is not a chance Annika will walk around looking horrid.

eyes ; Annika's eyes take the shape of a soft circular, slightly almond shape. Her eyes are a deep rich blue, Annika's eyes seem often to be like leaning over to look through a clear river and seeing the bottom. Shallow and clear, to put in more precise terms. Annika's eyes also have the odd tendency to flare into an ocean blue-green when the weather is warm, it is hardly noticeable unless you are used to staring at her eyes.

facial features ; Annika's face is a roundish-hear shape. Annika's facial complexion is tan, but during the winter seasons it often becomes a pale doll like complexion. Almost, as Annika's cheeks and the bridge of her nose is sprinkled in the freckles from many youthful days causing havoc on the country side. Annika's cheeks are a light tussled pink from youth, giving off the opinion she is blushing. It only ceases to do this if Annika is truly angry or upset and as normal the blood drains from a person's face. Annika's facial features are not quite mature, but they bare very few signs of Annika's youth as she has grown. A year more, and Annika may make to be a beautiful young lady.

distinguishing features ; Annika has a small scar located on her under forearm. Annika does not remember the exact incident as to what happen, Annika's memory is blurred of the day. Annika had been no more than seven and was playing when she landed roughly on some of the older parts of her German home. The stone slicing into her arm. Annika's mother had not that it too worrisome and had done nothing to heal it but bandage it up, thinking it were no more than needed to heal. Now, Annika has the small half inch scar to remind her of the day when she sees it as she changes clothes.

style ; Annika thinks itgives her independence and loves the fact that she stands out. She's constantly going over her wardrobe, trying on new things. there have been times when she would start out in one outfit and by the end of the night, She's in something completely different. Annika doesn't let her mum or anyone else give her any suggestions. Annika hates it when someone gives them their own feedback about her clothes, unless it is apprassial. Annika’s clothes are never simple war, or torn, each seem to be new and brightly colored. Annika refuses to wear anything less. Annika’s special occasion wear is often made just for her, but otherwise she tries to by the best fashion money can be. Annika of course does not always get her way about that, but it does not stop Annika from flaunting what she does have. Annika loves bright colors, purses and accessories.

the personality
likes ;

ATTENTION Annika enjoys all eyes on her. Annika believes that the world was meant to be that way. She does not believe anyone else, expect perhaps a spare few, deserve more attention than she. For Annika, attention is her one happy place. It is where she believes she belongs, center stage, and it shows when she gets it. Annika simply glows with a grin when she has all the attention she can muster. It need not matter if it were good or bad attention, for Annika attention is attention and it is right where it should be. On her, Annika can take not being given it all the time, but if it is not for sometime Annika slowly becomes tick. Something is not right in the world if someone is not giving her attention.

AUTHORITY Annika likes personal authority and power. Annika does not like it impressed on her, but Annika enjoys knowing she has authority over someone else. Annika is very attentive to any authority she is given, she always believes it is exactly what she deserved. She does not use her personal authority lax, Annika may be who she is but Annika does believe as long as it is not her if something is wrong punishment is right. Annika enjoys using any authority she has over some one, watching them cripple and obey her words. To Annika there is something so very right about this. Annika likes the idea of abusing power as much as she does using it appropriately. It is fun to watch someone squirm with their conscience when she uses authority to make a person do something immoral.

ASSUMPTIONS Annika actually enjoys people assuming something of her. Annika believes that the assumptions are what others may call 'wrong'. The idea of these assumptions make Annika grin. To Annika the idea of dislike is a great thing, to Annika's minds it means they fear her. Annika likes that concept to every extent, and Annika believes they should fear her. Annika is not a kind person, and Annika does not mind having that told to her. Annika has never cared for others opinions of her, Annika will do as she wishes and likes. Annika may not care, but assumptions do make her smile. The idea of someone coming up to an assumption about her, makes Annika feel as if the person is attentive to her. As we now know, Annika believes that is how the world should be.

ABANDONMENT Annika does not like people abandoning her, but she does enjoy watching others abandon each other. Annika likes to smile when someone abandons someone. It had been a part of many of Annika's plans, wedging a wall between two people and watching the turmoil burn around them before they stop associating. The idea of people losing allies, of being abandoned makes Annika smile. There is something very right about people who should not be allowed such conveniences to lose them. This like is perhaps to lessen the feeling of abandonment by her own father, but Annika would never admit it. Instead, Annika likes to cackle as she watches the closest of friends becoming no more than bitter enemies.

ACHILLES HEEL Annika likes finding the weakness of others. Annika spends time watching the people who she thinks need to suffer her wrath, being thorough as ever with her plotting. Intentionally trying to find the worst thing the person may find possible. Annika enjoys the imagined image of a person's sheer terror when they are faced with one of their greatest weaknesses. Annika, again, smiles during this suffering. Annika likes having that certain control over a person, knowing exactly what will pain them most. Annika finds it the most amazing and rewarding thing when she finally discovers such a thing, Annika wishes no more than to use it against them.

SINGING Surprisingly, one of Annika's greatest joys is singing. Annika loves hearing her voice, and the melodious tones that come out. In her Narcissistic way, she loves the sound of her own singing voice. Annika spends an amount of time doing nothing else but singing, studying is often put off for it. Annika puts effort into her singing that one may acclaim surprising, with her need to be thorough Annika must perfect her singing voice. Annika does not appreciate just her own voice, while she believes one day she will be the best, for some reason singing is the one thing Annika does not believe she is best at currently. Annika enjoys listening to others singing, music is an amazing calming event to her vindictive personality. Annika is an entirely different person when she sings.

dislikes ;

BLOOD There are two types of blood Annika dislikes. One, is the most cliche for Pureblood's, the thought of Muggleborn and Halfblood's within the school. For Annika it is a disgrace to the founders of the schools, who were all known to be Pureblood. Annika believes that with the crude blood within the school's walls and the Wizarding World the founders must be rolling in their graves. No matter what some of the founder's words had been recited as by the hat in the past, to Annika is a smear on the face of the Wizarding World that must be washed away. The second type of blood, is the only obvious one. Annika does not like the smell or sight of the red blood flowing from a person's body. Annika may devise and go through with plots that require seeing blood, but Annika has never liked having it on her. For Annika any blood is simply disgusting and should not be on her. It is always a personal tragedy when she cuts herself, Annika must clean and stop it as soon as possible. For Annika something about blood creeps her out more than anything else.

TRUTH Annika dislikes being told the truth of herself. Annika can easily take opinions, they are nothing but flies on a windshield. Annika is many things, and Annika does not want to face some of her history or herself. Annika does not being told exactly everything about her, and the truth of the statements. Annika may be strong, confident and attention seeking but being pointed out the truth of her past will make Annika quiet. Annika can avoid it as much as she likes, but Annika is always haunted by it. Annika does not like this one dislike that is a near weakness. Annika pushes it to a side as possible when the truth is brought to her face, and will be spiteful in return. The truth still burns, no matter what.

TRAITORS As with blood, there are two types of traitor's Annika truly dislikes. The first, Annika hates those that turn against those that turn against their own allies. Annika does not consider many allies, and those she does she treats with the highest respect. Annika would never become traitor to them unless it turned to be a success for all of them. It is a stab at both parties honor when you become a traitor. Annika, like every good pureblood, also detests the idea of blood traitors. Annika is a pureblood supremest and proud of it, Annika believes that to be a good pureblood you must appreciate your heritage and what pureblood's to have success. Associating yourself with anything less is wrong to the people who have given you such a gift of birth right.

LIARS Annika hates being lied to. For Annika being lied to is a crime against nature, you are not to lie to Annika. Annika believes she is the only one allowed to use deception, and the minute Annika finds you have lied to her you will be on her list. Annika has never believed a liar has a right to exist, Annika with all the things she is, is not a liar. Misleading and shift, yes, but Annika is not a liar. Annika believes that she deserves the same respect, no matter if you are a friend, a foe or an in between. Lying is something that is uncorrectable and unforgivable in Annika's eyes. Annika does not care how close you are to her, the minute you have entered the poor list of liar's Annika cuts ties with you. Annika will not deal with a liar, especially as liar's do nothing more but get into trouble.

BEING OUTDONE Annika must be the best, there is no two ways around it. The idea of being outdone makes Annika harden. Annika refuses to be outdone, it goes against everything she is. If Annika is outdone, Annika will push further and harder until the person has to outdo her again. Annika will stop at nothing to ensure that she is the best, and everyone knows it. If the person continues to try and outdo Annika? Let us just say, Annika will makes sure the person had never dared to try and trudge onto her territory. With Annika someone outdoing her means certain doom for both her and the other person who had so tried to pull one over on her.

AFFILIATIONS Annika does not like having to be associated with anyone. To Annika it is a way of people taking credit for what she did, and that is unacceptable. Annika may work with others if the cause is a good one, but she will never feel as an affiliate with them. Annika knows better to believe that she will accomplish anything alone, but it does not stop Annika from cutting ties the minute they try and tell her what to do. In those scenarios, Annika is not going to take it. Annika may work together for a common goal, but otherwise Annika believes her time is better spent working on personal vindications. This dislike for affiliations, is one reason Annika may never tie her loyalties to the Death Eater's. Annika refuses to follow any leader, it is unacceptable to her.

strengths ;

DEVIOUS Annika keeps her plans to herself, Annika is very wary of whom she tells of what she thinks. Annika may say something, but for Annika it is often just a piece of the puzzle or something that may be misleading. Annika is incredibly shifty over her own plans, Annika does not trust anyone to be let in on what she may do. Annika does not believe anyone has the right to see her ideas until the art comes out on it's own. As those are what Annika's devious plans are, art even though they may be some of the most cruel of ones. Annika believes that if they must ask questions of it, they must wait and be misled until the masterpiece is ready to be shown to the world. Being devious is one of Annika's strongest and smuggest suits.

CREATIVE Annika puts a lot of effort into her work. While Annika may not enjoy studies, if a project is given to her Annika will spend hours on it. Annika likes creating something amazing and show stopping. Annika enjoys seeing colors splash a page and something new be created. Annika likes singing, and spends time doing no more than creating new songs. Annika likes the idea of being original, creating something no one else yet has. Creativity is also one of the few things Annika believes everyone has a chance at. Annika is a lot of things, but art and creative seem to be fortress of power and solitude in her mind. Annika must be creative and do something different, but at the same time Annika stops to enjoy the creativity of others. Now, if only Annika's creativity was put into something good. Alas, most of Annika's creativity goes into her devious and cruel plans.

RELENTLESS Annika is relentless of her actions, to a very extreme. Annika does not want to leave something half finished. No matter what trouble it may bring, Annika must finish what she started. Being relentless is one thing that makes Annika the student she is, Annika firstly must try and shine above all the rest, but secondly Annika started school. Annika is not going to end her time there in a poor manner, Annika will try. Annika will not just stop to pick daisies when she is on a mission, Annika is a force to be reckoned with when has a mission in her mind. Annika may be five feet under, cut up and on a brink of death, but if she feels she must make her way another two feet she will crawl if she has to. It is against Annika's honor to stop half way through.

weaknesses ;

NARCISSISTIC It is clear, Annika is one of the most narcissistic people you may ever come to meet. Annika would like to believe she is, and Annika is proud of it. Annika bares no shame when she thinks she is better than someone else, to her she is the best. It is something that she was born to believe, Annika was treated as the best as a child. Annika, therefore, is the best in her mind. Annika believes it is her job to outshine and show others their place. Annika does not want to be the one out down, it is one of the things that make Annika so very vindictive. Annika is narcissistic to a point she is blind to all things else, narcissism will likely be Annika's downfall.

IDEALISM Annika has strong ideals that do not belong in this day and age. Annika often follows the ideals that come from the past, a past that is supposed to be dead. Annika is determined to carry out those ideals. Annika believes that the past is the correct way, and Annika will try and make sure their forefathers ways are accomplished. This idea of idealism becomes a weakness to Annika, because inevitably she is thinking of creating events of unacceptable measures. Events that will end in nothing but all sorts of trouble, Annika has yet to realize the amount of trouble that the idealistic views she has cause in the past. Nor the fact that the people who shared her views, did not come to live freely to tell the tale.

THOROUGH Annika does not do very well with getting events in motion in a day's time. Annika is extremely thorough with her work. Annika likes to make sure how the approach will work in every angle. Annika does not want to succumb to failure, so Annika believes making sure that every detail is precise and known is best. Annika's attentive style to her approaches in humongous on goings is both a strong point and a weakness. In Annika's case, it is more a weakness. Annika spends more of her time making sure everything will end out the way she wants, that it can take months to years before she even puts plans into her actions. Sometimes Annika realises halfway through that somewhere down the line she has forgot one tiny detail that may ruin it all. Annika is thorough, but it does not often go well.

boggart ; Annika's boggart would take the form of a fish-tank like box over-pouring with thick, disgusting, red blood. Annika has never had a sensible reason as to why she detests it so much, as do many people. Annika just simply does not like how any blood seems dirty or the feel of it against her skin and clothes. For Annika, having so much blood nearby out of a human body is a terrifying concept.

amortentia ; German Pancakes, Springtime Showers, dark chocolate

erised ; Annika would see her family, whole and one. The loss of her father upon his actions in the last Great War that made him go to Azkaban, as we all come to find, has taken the greatest of tolls on Annika. She longed for all the happy families she saw passing on Die Romantische Strasse ("The Romantic Street") by her home. Annika wishes nothing more for the little memory of the happy family she once had.

veritaserum ; Annika's deepest secret is perhaps that she really is in pain. Annika refuses to admit it to herself, let alone whisper the words to someone else. Annika believes she is strong and the best, not that she fears her love for her father and wants to shed that to someone else. Annika's second deepest secret, is the reasons as to mucking up to the fact her father is indeed in Azkaban, and why and how. It goes against all of Annika's morales, and admitting it has somehow became one of the forbidden secrets. Neither are truly secrets, anyone may know Annika's father is in Azkaban and why. Trying to admit it would be like spilling her deepest secret.

dementor ; Annika's worst memory was that Summer day of 1997. Watching the father she loved very much being pulled from their castle home by the British Ministry. Feeling her heart break as once more he was gone, and Annika somehow knew for good. The day, Annika believes her life was shattered is the very day that Annika would see every time she was faced with a dementor. It is crippling to Annika.

patronus ; Annika has not yet been able to produce her patronus. When Annika will be able to cast it, the patronus will take the form of a porcupine. The memory Annika would use is a simple and special one to her. It is one of her oldest, she believes one of the first as well, memories. A time where Annika was just about four, it was before her father had been sent to Azkaban as it revolves around him. Somehow, one spring morning of him pulling her outside into the countryside, lifting the small girl on his shoulders and letting her reach for the sky is Annika's favorite memory. It is the most cherish-able she has with her father.

personality ;

Annika likes sticking her neb where it does not belong. Annika likes to know everything that is going on around her, she must know what is being said or she feels as if she is nothing. Annika comes from behind curtains a lot with a grin on her face when she knows exactly what she wants or is getting it. Annika will force herself into any conversation she thinks merit-table just to get the juicy details of what is going on. Annnika enjoys the idea of knowing everything about what is going on within the castle, and better yet what is being said often comes to Annika's advantage. Annika will simply stop at nothing to get what she wants, and eavesdropping is no stranger to Annika. However, Annika enjoys getting the squirming answers out of the person, listening in has never been as satisfactory.

Annika is actually incredibly resourceful and bright. Annika may had the narcissistic matter to life, but Annika knows better than to enter something loosely. Annika put thought into the actions she does, Annika believes going in without a rational mind or recklessly will only end in personal failure. Annika has pushed herself throughout her school years in her study. One to not be outshone, but secondly to make sure if she finds herself in trappings she will either see it or be able to manage to weasel her way out. Annika believes that no matter how anyone tries, Annika will make it out. How wrong Annika's words may often seem.

If it has not been clear, Annika has an incredibly controlling personality. Annika must have things done the way she wants and when she wants it. There are no two ways about it, Annika's words are to her law. Annika likes knowing she can control something, it is a very satisfactory notion in her head. Annika has never liked the idea of having no control, and in fact, it is one thing Annika becomes very finicky about. Annika must have control over something, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem. Annika just feels it is her duty to have something under her power, just as she remembered her father had and still has over her. It is a prowess that seems a family trait.

We have found Annika to be a cruel person, but she is cheerful. Annika is especially cheerful when she finds others in pain. Annika can help but do no more than smile during those situations and tear into the hurt person a bit herself. Annika's greatest happiness comes from others pain, as sadistic as it is. Annika has been constantly cheerful for the last year. With all those dying and the torment the world is in, for a person like Annika it is like heaven on Earth. Even without it, Annika loves being cheerful. Annika must be cheerful to feel right. Annika enjoys smiling, Annika enjoys laughing. For everything that is worth, no matter her more dominant points of personality, Annika is still a teenage girl. Annika likes enjoying being nothing more than that teenage girl.

Annika has a temper much like a cat. It is fast, and often harsh. Annika's temper will also stay as long as the cats whom glare when the person it was angered by reappears. Annika does not take kindly to any insult taken to her. Annika will be one of the first to shove something at you or worse if you step one toe out of line around her. Annika does not have the best of temper control when it comes to being wronged, Annika can be the most cheerful and polite girl you may meet until the minute she feels you have wronged her. After that, until the day you and she dies you are on her black list. A black list that has come to be used for her vindictive purposes.

Annika likes seeking revenge, as you have come to find. For Annika it is one of her greatest hobbies. Annika enjoys getting payback, it is something she believes is rightfully done even when it is wrong. Annika's thirst for vengeance is built off of two things. One, once more the feeling of her father abandoning her when he was sent to Azkaban. Somehow, Annika feels that her father going to that place was some dislike or against her. Annika to this day hates it. The second, merely because every part of her personality screams at her that the person should understand what they are dealing with. The person should not be forgiven and must pay the price.

Annika does have a few close friends. People Annika thinks barely are on her level, people that Annika appreciates their company of. Annika has never intentionally been poor with people, and the few Annika has come to find herself accepting of she holds dear. Annika holds them dear and close. Annika knows better than to be foolish enough to believe that they will not turn against her. Humans always turn against each other, her father had told her long ago. Annika believes it too, especially after he left her. Annika may love her friends, but she will not try and outrageously risk her neck for them. Annika has her own plans, and if you are foolish enough to get yourself in unrepentant danger do not come to Annika. Annika may help, some, but she is getting in trouble for no one.

Annika is strangely naive. Annika does not think anything will touch her, and will not admit it if she thinks it is. Annika does not believe in what is going on in the world is wrong or cruel. Annika does not notice flirtations between older students, as she has yet to engage in them herself. Annika enjoys pain, but otherwise, Annika is a strangely naive girl. Wary, surely. Dark, of course. Naive, is a most definite part if you ever speak to the girl. Annika is not silly enough to not know about sex, but she is naive enough to believe that as her father told her it is only meant for married couples. Annika thus believes that all her upper schoolmates are waiting for that day, and she too should never do such a thing. Annika is strangely, almost pure at the core when it comes to most things. Annika is not when it comes to wanting others to feel pain and be destroyed, to there, Annika has the darkest of hearts.

the school life
year ; Fifth Year. She is clawing for a Prefect Position if at all possible.
pet ; A short-haired kitten she has called Petra.
favourite subject ; Annika's best subject is Charms. Annika has always found Charms the more practical of the classes, and believes that in order to get about life it may be best to have more of those under your belt than anything else. Annika has practiced the subject well for that, but simply because watching the simple things people do with Charms still amaze her. You don't expect anything extraordinary from Charms, which is what makes it all the more special.
worst subject ; Astronomy. Annika does not care to be told how long she must stay up. Annika does not find joy in pouring over charts and maps of stars that are either long since gone or will do her no use. Annika believes Astronomy is a useless subject.
best spell ; Alohamora. The spell is one of the simplest of them, located in the Seventh Chapter of the First Year Charms book. Annika still finds it quite the gold mind. With the spell the user is capable of entering nearly every single room that does not have wards against it. When Annika had heard of this her eyes had lit up about all the possibilities, and had been determined to master in the minute she could.
worst spell ; Densaugeo. Annika's worst trouble comes from one that is surprisingly one of the more devious one. Annika has trouble with the simple hex to make teeth enlarge grotesquely (as used by Pansy Parkinson in the Goblet of Fire). The idea of the image is disgusting to her brain, always putting a hindrance to when she attempts to perform it. The ghastly image appears in her head and Annika loses concentration.

the family life
mother ; Marissa {nee Preston} Fleischer, 38, Pureblood, born in the United Kingdom.
father ; Ascan Fleischer, 39, Pureblood born in Düsseldorf, Germany
siblings ; Annika is an only child.
other significant magical relatives ;

residence ; Annika's family lives on the outskirts of Düsseldorf. Currently, the family inhabits one of the old castles that laden the countryside. It is off limits to the tourists, muggle and wizarding alike, that are traveling Die Romantische Strasse. (The oldest and most famous German vacation route). The castle is small compared to some you may find, but Annika finds it extravagent non the less.
history ;

( can't fight it as hard as i try )
THE EARLY YEARS. THE EARLY YEARS. THE EARLY YEARS.

Annika's parents met in the early year of 1992. Ascan had arrived from Germany to the United Kingdom in light of hearing the rumors of the several on goings. Ascan has come to also arrive for a position within the British Ministry, having not quite believing a single word of the rumors. Ascan had expected to find himself in nothing more than a knee deep work of paper work. All of this would change, when in April of the year he would meet Marissa Preston. Marissa at the time had been working a department above him, but Ascan had met her in the elevator. The two had begun to speak, and Ascan had found himself with the surge of a smile when he had left the elevator. Ascan found himself wishing he could speak to the beautiful woman again. Upon this realization, Ascan scolded himself, such affections was not allowed. Ascan began to avoid Marissa at all costs, but still something drew him to her.

Ascan had watched Marissa for sometime, and when June had arrived he had picked up the pieces of his failed courage and approached the younger Ministry Official. Marissa's initial reaction was to scoff, Ascan had ignored her for several months. Ascan was charming, intentionally, he had wanted to impress Marissa. So he had, and not soon later Ascan begun courting the woman. Months would come to pass, and Ascan was beginning to believe he really could stand the woman for the rest of his life. Ascan was a Death Eater, Germany Base he was, and he had vowed never to do such a flimsy thing-- Ascan's allegiance was to lie with the Dark Lord dead or alive. Marissa had changed all this, Ascan wanted her more than anything else in the world. And so, on the late September eve the courtship changed and Annika was conceived.

The months passed quickly. When Ascan had found out Marissa had been pregnant with his first born, there had been little hesitation when the man asked her to marry him. The April day of 1993 Marissa was eight months pregnant, but the two still married on the first day they had ever met. (A romanticist story Annika both groans and awes about.) Shortly after, the newly weds were greeted with their first child on May 22, 1993. Annika Fleischer had been born in St. Mungo's a wailing mass of flailing fighter. From the very first day she was born, Annika seemed to illuminate when the Healer's looked at her, as if she knew all the attention were to be on her. Despite a birth in the United Kingdom, Ascan had done something and acquired the country-side castle in Germany for his family. Ascan believed they should have the best, and the castle in his birth home seemed just right. Only a few days, Annika would arrive in her permanent German home.

Annika grew up as a happy child. In the beginning, there would be hardly any sign of her vindictive nature. Annika was a smiling and happy baby. Annika got into curious trouble, gripping for things that either hurt her or she was not supposed to have. Annika's eyes were always bright in simple curiosity. Annika was no stranger to being scolded and in trouble as a child, but no matter what she always laughed. As if even then punishment to her was a joke, and so it was. Annika believed everything about getting in trouble was that of a joke. From a very young age, Ascan had taught her that anything and everything she wanted was hers. Punishment only came to those who were foolish enough to deserve it by putting in little thought. People should not be trusted, not he nor Annika's mother. Annika knew these words, they became apart of her. Annika was a bright, trusting child who had latched on her father's words. Annika was quite the daddy's girl, and it helped that she had him wrapped around her tiny little finger.

( going out of my mind )
THE LOSS. THE LOSS. THE LOSS.

Ascan would soon become aloof to the two female's in his life. As 1995 came about and the Dark Lord had been risen, Ascan had returned his loyalties to his former master. His small family forgotten as he worked to do the Dark Lord's bidding for the next three years. The small toddler that was Annika had always stared wide eyed watching her father leave, Annika could not believe he would willingly leave her. After Ascan had said so much about never abandoning the small girl, every day she watched her father leave the house without even a good bye. Soon, Annika became used to it, Annika pressed her lips tight and had watched her father leave day after day without letting the tears escape her ideas. Then Annika would toddle off and find herself in some mischief, and in her toddler list she would always reply 'Vater Ich kud!' in broken and crud German.

Finally, in the summer of 1997, the Dark Lord was silenced. Ascan had disappeared a great deal that year, and had himself taken part in the war. Ascan had return to his German home grumpily the day after the war. Annika remembered starring at his ragged self as he had entered the house, by the time, Ascan had not returned home in months. The five year old's first instinct was to run over and hug him, but Ascan had thrown her aside and walked up the stairs. Annika was hurt, and for the first time angry tears spilled down her cheeks. They would not be the first time they would that week either. Three days later, British Ministry had knocked open the door to arrest Ascan for allegiance with the Dark Lord. Annika had seen them take her father away from behind her mother's legs, wide eyed. Annika could not comprehend what was going on, but she knew somehow her father was being punished and she knew he was leaving her again. Annika's kindness crumpled that day. Her father had left her again, and not only that. Annika could clearly hear his words, 'Only the foolish get punished by getting caught.' Her father had been caught, therefore, he was foolish.

( just give in, all that we become )
THE CHANGE. THE CHANGE.

That day on, Annika was not the cheerful bright eyed girl she had been. Something in Annika had shifted. Annika felt betrayed, hurt, and left behind. Annika felt that everything her father had taught her, he had lied about. He was no more than the the wrong of the morals he had taught her. Annika begun to hate the man she had once loved so dearly, Annika trusted no one. There was little point for the small girl to trust anyone when the person who she had trusted so very much had turned against her to her small mind. The idea of this, to this day, still stands. Annika may make friends and alliances, but Annika is by no means trusting of the people she meets. Annika constantly keeps everyone she meets at a hand's length away, no one else is allowed to capture her heart as her father had.

Annika became a bitter, ruthless child. It was unintentional, and Annika did indeed laugh. This time it was not just about the idea of conventional punishments. Annika laughed when her mother cried, when Annika watched out the window as the tourists passed the house and a toddler had been smacked across the face by it's mother for whining. Annika began to find the sad happiness in other's pain, because somehow it relieved her own. It relieved Annika of the loss of her father, of that betrayal. As you may still come find today, Annika thrived on it. Annika was not nearly as bad as she is today. Annika's mind is crueler now, growing up further into a worse like world. Annika's happiness last year was greatly from the turmoil the school was in. As a child, it was only simple immeasurable pain that would dull and subside, not the idea of someone's death as it is now. Death of someone is pleasurable to Annika now.

The rest of Annika's years before school were eerily silent. With Annika's father in Azkaban, the household was calm. It became just her and her mother, whom Annika had never loved nearly as much as she loved her father. Annika was not easily amused any more, she did not find the curiosity in getting in trouble. Instead, Annika had stared longingly out the window of the castle watching the tourists walk along or drive down the Romantic Street that was the major tourist attraction. Annika hated them, she wanted the happy families she kept seeing pass by. Annika wished that her pain were their own, but she knew it were never to happen. So Annika watched longingly, both muggle and wizarding like, as the happy cheerful complete families passed. Annika began to hate the muggles that she had been told her father had been trying to rid them of. Annika was at the age of ten, and she wished for the annihilation of the people that had torn her family to shreds. There was only one way she could see doing that, on the early August morning after her eleventh birthday, the solution arrived in the form of a letter.

( that's not where we ought to be )
FIRST YEAR. FIRST YEAR. FIRST YEAR.

Annika was thrilled when she received her letter to Hogwarts. It was the exact answer Annika had been looking for. With a bitter smile, she had trudged through Diagon Alley getting all the objects she knew were directed to her by her birth right. Annika knew it was time to begin to repay for what her father did. Annika was not one of the anxious, overwhelmed First Years. Annika knew where she belonged, and it certainly was not that old castle. She had not shifted from foot to foot or was afraid of the Great Hall during Sorting. Annika knew better, and when her turn had been called Annika waggled her fingers and grinned to the entire Hall. Annika was certain she belonged here, and as the Hat roared her house to the hall and she heard the applause Annika knew she was beyond right about being there.

Annika's first year was calm. Annika made friends, and inevitably enemies that year. Annika had not at all minded the fact, she knew they would come there were no two ways about it. Annika welcomed both the types, and had a little more fun with the enemies she made when welcoming them. Annika was a good student her first year, and that would come to the years to follow, Annika made sure her assignments were in. Determined to have top marks, determined to have all the praise and eyes of her year on her. This was Annika's ultimate way of life. Annika tested the power she had at the school, how far she could push the limits without finding herself in trouble. Surprisingly, there was quite a bit of limits she could push without finding herself scathingly in front of her Head of House's office. The thoughts always made Annika grin, but her first year soon ended.

( look at me, look at you )
SCHOOL YEARS. SCHOOL YEARS. SCHOOL YEARS.

Annika is now currently in the beginning of her fifth year. With four years of the school under her belt, Annika has no fear of who is there or what is to come. Names like Zhenya Gurov barely get a look, Annika knows of the seventh year and she also knows her time here is soon over. Besides, Zhenya had been foolish she had gotten herself caught. Annika had lost respect for her after that. Annika did nothing more than as she had her first year. Her studies, her friends, and pushing ever limit of power she could. Annika had gotten in trouble once in her fourth year, for hexing a first year who had crossed her. The Detention and house points seem little to nothing now that she thinks of it, and she had played it off as if she were practicing a spell. The first year had merely walked into it, but Annika still had gotten into trouble and Annika honorably took what was given to her.

Annika wants to change what she will do in her fifth year. After everything that had happened last year, all the attacks, Annika surprisingly wants in on it. While Annika had gained enjoyment from watching everything that had happened at the school, there feels to be something more satisfying about having a hand in it herself. It need not matter that security had tightened, there is a new Headmaster. (Blackwell, Headmaster! It almost seems a joke to Annika.) None of it at all matters, Annika believes, as now she can plan. She has three years at the school left to make her mark. Believe Annika when she says she will make that mark, there is no stopping the fifteen year old.

“Without hesitation, I knew once upon your head. In you classic ideals of the wizarding world are hardly dead. You already know your place, let's not keep the secret in. Take your place with the others in Slytherin!"

Awesome job, Daikun! I simply adore her. I'm sure she'll make a wonderful addition to her House! If you have any questions, or need any help, well ... you know where to find us ;]
