( time shift update )

We have now moved on to 9pm on to Tuesday, 20th May . No classes are in session but all First, Second and Third Years should remain within their common room or dormitory as 9pm marks their curfew. And for anyone that is still out and about, make sure that you are following the rules with whatever you do.

NOTE: The Masquerade Ball is tonight and will be taking place in the Room of Requirement. ONLY those invited may attend and please make sure to attach your mask and costume to every post you make in that thread. Also, there have been some addendums made to the ball so please make sure that you read the OPEN THREAD carefully. Also, make note that the potion consumed will not be taking affect immediately, so the start of the thread will be just your normal selves with your assigned date. We will let you know when the time has come for the ‘potion to take effect’ and you will not be disappointed.

We have now moved on to 7pm on to Wednesday, 28th May . No classes are in session, therefore all students have free roam of the castle and grounds. If you are lucky enough to be in the seventh year, and aren't a member of Slytherin house, Charisma Spencer invites you to join her and your fellow classmates in a joint celebration of both the end of your Hogwarts career which is looming on the horizon, and the upcoming wedding of Julian Kipler and Lydia Miller. A party thrown by the wild child of Hogwarts is sure to be a great night, so come preparted to drink, dance, and say goodbye to those you've lived with for the last seven years.

as usual, should anyone need a thread opened, poke one of the admin guys.

We have now moved on to 8pm on to Thursday, 5th June. No classes are in session, therefore all students have free roam of the castle and grounds. First to third years are in their last hour of freedom before curfew calls, and those in their fifth and seventh years should turn in early as their end of year examinations begin tomorrow.

( time shift update )

We have now moved on to 5pm on to Monday, 9th June. No classes are in session and in light of recent events, all examinations have been postponed. An issue of the Daily Prophet will be posted shortly, along with a letter from the Ministry of Magic highlighting the impact that Julian Kipler’s death will have on the school. Please take a few moments to read them.

NOTE: this shift immediately follows the memorial service that has been held for Julian. It has taken place in the courtyards and all students are welcomed to have attended. Much like a wake, there are light refreshments being served now, and all of Julian's loved ones hope that his friends turn out to bid him farewell. A description of the set-up is to follow shortly.

Because of this tragic event, and the repercussions it brings, the last few shifts of the academic year have been changed. Please find below an updated time shift schedule.

The next shift will take place on Monday, 31st August at the usual time and will take us to 4pm on Friday, 13th June. No classes or examinations will be in session, and all students will have been submitted to questioning by the Aurors by this time. No interrogations will be played out in-game, but feel free to reflect on you character’s interview as you see fit. The expected questions will have been asked—how they knew Eden and Julian, where they were at the time of the attack, etc. Try not to rouse any suspicions as there are factions of the wizarding community pushing to see the perpetrator treated as an adult even if they are a minor. This will also be the last full day within the castle.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next shift will take place on Monday, 14th September at the usual time and will take us to 9am on Saturday, 14th June. This is the day in which Hogwarts will close its doors, possibly for the last time. Students should be preparing to leave the castle for Hogsmeade at ten, as the Hogwarts Express will be leaving for London at 11am sharp. Time for teary goodbyes all round.

As always, should anyone have any questions, please prod an admin. We’d be glad to answer any questions.

We have now moved on to 4pm on to Friday, 13th June . No classes are in session and all examinations have been postponed. The school remains to be on lockdown, meaning that the castle grounds are off limits to all students. Be aware that the school is crawling with Aurors and they are likely to question you if you’re seen acting suspiciously. All students will have been submitted to questioning by the Aurors by this time. No interrogations will be played out in-game, but feel free to reflect on you character’s interview as you see fit. The expected questions will have been asked—how they knew Eden and Julian, where they were at the time of the attack, etc. This will also be the last full day within the castle. The Hogwarts Express leaves Hogsmeade at 11am sharp tomorrow.

If you require a location within the castle to be opened, please ask a member of the Real HFT. For elsewhere in the wizarding world, feel free to poke any of the mods.

Y’all know the drill by now—if you need anything, just ask.

hello, my dears!

as some of you may have noticed, i haven't been around for a few days. this is because my lovely ex-boyfriend had my internet, phone, and tv disconnected. he really is as lovely as he sounds. problem is, they're not going to be re-connecting me until tomorrow afternoon so i won't be here for the time shift. i've left notes for the other admins and hopefully the shift will go ahead as normal. with a little bit of luck, someone can pick it up this evening, though it's likely to be later than the usual time. however, there is a chance that it will be delayed until i'm back up and running tomorrow.

sorry for the inconvenience, guys.

miss you all!

( time shift update )

We have now moved on to 8pm on Saturday, 27th September, 2008. This is the first day back in the castle after an extended and uncertain summer so no classes are in session. The shift takes place immediately following the Welcome Feast and so students are free to stay within the Great Hall, but should be conscious of the time. Curfew for all tonight is 9pm and so people should be thinking about heading towards their common rooms. .

The summer edition of the Daily Prophet has been posted and can be found ( here ) for your viewing pleasure. Yes, there are 13 pages of it to read through, but we would appreciate folks taking a few minutes to take a look as it contains information of events which took place this summer. In other news, the PIA winners list will be posted later this evening so keep your eyes peeled for that one!

Could everyone please make sure that they can see all of the categories. Just want to double check that i reopened all of the categories correctly. Also, since we now accept larger profile icons, could everyone ensure that their icon doesn't exceed 150px wide by 200px length. I don't want to have to keep resizing them.

Thanks much!

As always, should anyone have any questions, please prod a mod.

We have now moved on to 7pm on Friday, 17th October. There are no classes in session and so students may roam the castle and grounds as they please. Please remember that no student may leave the castle grounds under any circumstances, lest they suffer a painful death. Or, y’know, be forced into detention with Blackwell, which I reckon is as painful as death. This shift marks the reopening of the Broomsticks following the unfortunate incident which saw it burned to the ground. I’m told it was Ianto’s fault but I don’t know how true that is.

Also, be aware that this shift signals the beginnings of the assassination plot. The school will be crawling with Aurors, as it has been for months, and they’ll be more active than usual. Ergo, anyone found partaking in activities that are frowned upon can expect to be reprimanded if caught. Just a friendly warning.

As usual, should anyone need a thread opened, poke one of the admin guys.
